I sometimes also break down academic writing and discuss its relevance to our daily lives. I read the jargon - not just the abstract - so that you don’t have to can read less of it.
How were computers used to show that Shakespeare may not have been a single author? Will it be ethical to have babies on Mars? What does satellite imagery have to do with economics? (A fair bit, as it turns out!)
